Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. Introduction
Education Nepal ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our educational resources.
By using our website, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as:
- Name and email address (if you contact us)
- Comments or feedback you provide
- Information you submit through our contact forms
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information, including:
- IP address and browser type
- Pages visited and time spent on pages
- Referring website information
- Device information and operating system
2.3 If You Sign In With Google
Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Your Google account id, name, email address and profile photo link
- The ratings (1–5 stars) and feedback you give on past-question answers
- Answers and YouTube video links you suggest, with any note you add
- Your engaged time and first answers (described in 2.4), linked to your account so we can show you your own time
We use this to show average ratings, to show you your own time on each answer, and to review and publish suggestions. When a suggestion is published, only your first name is shown with it. Your email is never shown publicly. To have your account and its data deleted, contact us from the email you signed in with.
2.4 Engaged Time and First Answers
Whether or not you sign in, your browser keeps a random id (in local storage) that is not linked to your name or email. Against that id we record:
- How many seconds you spend on each past-question answer: while it is on screen and you are active on the page, or while its explainer video is playing
- On multiple-choice practice questions, whether your first pick was right and how long it took
We only ever show these combined across at least five students, as typical time spent and the share who answer correctly on their first try, and we use them to find answers that need improving. Clearing your browser's site data gives you a new id.
2.5 Your Progress, Community Posts and Choices
- Your Progress page shows the records above for your own id back to you. If you sign in, your chapter trackers are also saved to your account so they appear on your other devices.
- Community posts and replies are public, shown with your first name. You can ask us to remove them.
- The class and stream you pick are kept in your browser only, to show you the right subjects.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our educational services
- To improve our website and user experience
- To respond to your inquiries and provide support
- To analyze website usage and trends
- To display relevant advertisements (if applicable)
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience. These technologies help us:
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Analyze website traffic and usage patterns
- Provide personalized content and advertisements

You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
11. Buy & Sell Listings
When you post an item on Buy & Sell, we store what you enter (item details, location, optional first name) and the contact you choose (a mobile number or a Facebook/Messenger link). Your contact is shown only to visitors who tap “Contact seller” on your listing. We also store a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself, to limit spam.
You can mark your listing sold or delete it at any time with the private link you get when posting. Listings expire after 60 days.
